I tried using the “screw type” of connectors for wind sails and it was way too challenging - the sail, the angles, and you have to measure it perfect within the 4-5 inches the screw type allows. I couldn’t do that without huge sagging because was installing them by myself. it looked terrible.Then i found these!!!! YEA! hooked up the cable to the corners and used a hex wrench [which was included but its a very small cheapy hex wrench] and BAM the wind sails totally tight and perfect!!!Then it rained hard [south florida] and the sails looked saggy again. I guess because the sails are new and stretched out?Which is when i was totally impressed with this installation approach… less than 30 seconds later and a few quick clicks of the ratchet to tighten it more… bam! back to perfect tightness.val

★★★★★★★★★★ Work well butThese work well over all but the cable claps are cheap and I ended up getting heavy duty cable clamps to replace them. The ratchets for the job done but are very difficult to release when there is a lot of tension on the sun shade. I wish that the “dial” for the ratchet part was a bolt head shape for a socket to be used and not an Allen key head as the metal is a bit soft and one ratchet started to strip out. This works for now but will be replaced when we rehang the sail after winter is over. In a time pinch it’s working but overall long term we don’t trust it’s durability
