Once I installed this shade it dropped the temperature back there by at least 10 degrees and it makes it so enjoyable to sit out in the backyard now. I rigged up a pulley system so I can raise and lower the shade but that’s just my engineering brain doing the most. You can hang it from a fixed location and it will work just fine. Great product!

I live in Seattle - so it really does rain 24/7 for about 9 months of the year and you need something that can resist rain. Our old one would pool water and slowly let water through, but also became mildewy. This one, the material seems much more fit for outdoors and water goes through.Fit well - true to size and easy to hang.OVERALL - this is an excellent price point for a great canopy top.
