HOW TO MAKE THE MEASUREMENT
1. Measure the distance from one post to the next post.
2. Based upon those measurements, subtract 1-1.5 feet. For example, for a 15' FT by 15' FT measurement we suggest one 14' FT by 14' FT product.
*NOTE: *Our custom sun shade sails are made case-by-case and cannot be resold so please pick your size carefully.
*Our sun shade sails have curves on each side to enhance pull strength and prevent drooping on the sides. Due to the curved sides on sun shade sails, the product may have 1-6 inches deviations on side length. For our hand-made products, deviations of 2 inches more or less is not uncommon. Thus, any deviations between 0 and 8 inches are acceptable for our products.
*Due to curves, please keep in mind that our sun shade sails will be 4-6 inches shorter in middle width.

★★★★★★★★★★ Great shades but confusing size, color and pricing optionsI installed 2 of these shades over our back patio and they work and look great. I think the steel cable makes a big difference because of the extra durability which allows you to stretch them very tight. I made my own steel anchor cables using a crimper and supplies from HomeDepot. I also added turnbuckles to 2 of the ends to help stretch them. After a year they are holding up very well. No sign of tearing or damage. They have gotten a bit stained from oak tree sap. We took them down once and tried to wash them which helped but the stain is still there. I recommend using a program like SketchUp to figure out the layout and what sizes and anchors will work. We attached to a telephone pole, the neighbors cinder block garage wall and then to the edge of the house (in 3 places). It was a challenge to figure out the right sizes to get and SketchUp really helped with that. One complaint I have and a suggestion to Tang would be to figure out how to better present the sizing, color and pricing options. The price varies WILDLY depending on what size and color you get and I had to go through each option to figure it out. They appear to be making a few sizes and colors in quantity and the rest are special order? I would like to see a list of all the shades sorted by price to help me choose the most economical choices with the best color variety. I would also like to see more choices of bright colors. Oh and how about some built in solar powered edge LEDs while you are at it ;-) !5 people found this helpful
