Secure Rod Design: No need to worry about the weighted rods slipping out of the rod pocket, even in the face of high winds. Each end of the rod is equipped with a finial, which can be used for tie-downs. This design ensures that the shade cover stays firmly in place
Permeable and Breathable Fabric: Our replacement cover is made of a permeable and breathable HDPE fabric, which prevents rain from gathering on the top. More durable and has a significantly longer lifespan
95% UV Blockage: Our shade cover is an ideal choice for providing shade and privacy. Whether you install it on your pergola, balcony, porch, gazebo, or any other outdoor area, it effectively shields you from harmful UV rays
Size Note: Please note that the first side of the listed size represents the size of the weighted rods. For example, if the listed size is 8β x 12β, the rods are placed on the 8β sides, and the grommets are evenly spaced 2β apart on the 12' sides

So very happy with this purchase provides great shade and feels at least 15-20 degrees cooler while under it! It even protects from rain although itβs not designed/described to! I love that I can slide it down from one end to the other as the sun sets.
Great product. Has a fantastic look about it and I am so glad I Purchased this one instead of just one of the plan beige covers. It almost shimmers. Was disappointed there were no ties included but a trip to the store solved that and then the cover went on easily.
Some rain does come through, but I expected that. It was pretty easy to put up and does protect us from the hot son. The price was also affordable , actually priceless, when I consider how much more weβre able to use our deck! It fit as advertised. Good quality.
Its ok, the color was lighter than what was shown online. I purchased three covers and one box was missing pieces to those poles that help anchor iit down on the ends and one was broken that had the anchor on the end.. I am trying to get a replacement pole that has the anchor so that I can finish putting the cover up. You can see where it is just handing with no support.
I live in Arizona. We depend on shade in the summer to exist outdoors. I normally buy shade screen from a local store that I like very much. They are very limited during the pandemic and shade screens with grommets must be special ordered. So, I thought to try TANGβs sun shade. My experience is:PROS:* The metal rod bars come in 3 pieces. A bar with a finial that appears molded onto the shaft. The opposite end of the bar appears machine threaded to fit the second bar, and to fit the remaining finial attachment. These are male to female threaded attachments.* I really like the idea of metal rod bars. They provide weight and structure to the shade, making it easier to set up without a droopy center and more eye pleasing. The metal bars appear to have a thin maybe plastic layer giving the bar a bronze appearance. The colored layer scratches easily. I imagine the colored layer retards rusting.* The fabric panel is affixed to the area by eyelet finials on both sides of the assembled rods and grommets on the outer sides of the panel.* The sun shade cloth is wind and water permeable. The weave allows breeze and water to pass. The suns cloth still will be picked up by strong wind, but the breathability hopefully will keep the material from acting too much like a sail and damaging property.*The sun shade panel itself appears properly constructed. The sleeve is ample to thread the rods through easily. The sides are double folded and the grommets sit properly inside the double layer of fabric. Grommets are of usual quality.CONS:* This appears to be 75% sun blockage. I have both 75% and 95% sun blockage fabric shading areas of my property. The light fabric probably to my eyes has at least a 5% openness factor allowing the wind/breeze to pass more easily. I am unsure of what up to 95% UV blockage means since I thought that UV rays could pass through most material. I am unqualified to judge the accuracy of the 95% UV claim.* Machined threads of the rod pieces appear rough cut. I like to be able to take things apart so I added pool silicon to the inside and outside threads. There was too much drag unless I added silicon to BOTH sides. I had to play with the pieces and lay the rods on a table top to make sure I got a proper thread and did not strip the tread. The silicon and laying flat to align the pieces allowed me to get a smooth threading but it took care.I like the shade panel. It is comparably priced to having the same sized shade made locally with truly 95% sun blockage but no rods. And during my lockdown, I ordered it online with easy delivery.
I like the fact that it allows rain to come through. Seems to do a decent job with blocking sun for the type of canopy it is. Not crazy about the fact it has an odd number of poles for each end. There are five. 2 for one end and three for the other. Chose to make them even at each end but it's way too short for my needs. Managed to secure each end of the pole to my pergola but it looks funny. So far it's serving its purpose but doesn't have the look I was hoping for
The fabric itself is nice, and seems like it'll hold up nicely to wind, rain, and the sun. My issue is with the rods you use to run through the panel for support, and use to connect it to the structure. The rods themselves are metal, but the finials for each end of the rods are made of plastic, and mine had two of them broken. These are the pieces you would use to put a rope (or whatever you're using) to secure the panel to the structure, and obviously worthless if they are broken. Really don't understand why these would be made from plastic. If they can be broke during shipping, how well will they hold up in extreme weather? Where I live, 60 MPH gusts are not uncommon, and after seeing this, wonder if a good snap of wind that strong, against the panel, may well snap the plastic finials. Other than this, these are nice. Being these are a major component to using the panel to secure it, I had to take off 2-Stars. I had to fabricate pieces to be able to use the panel, and although I don't mind doing that, for most folks, that just may not be an option. Seriously need to consider changing the material for the finials, or at the very least, send extras in the box.
