The posts we buried were too close to the house to allow for stretching. I decided to buy this smaller shade (14' x 10' ft) which gave me an extra 2' ft clearance on all sides. Then I bought 4 large turnbuckles, four, 1' ft lengths of chain, and 4 snap hooks. After hanging the new shade, the extra clearance was perfect and allowed me to tighten the shade appropriately.
